DESCRIPTION OF THE VILLA

Exclusive Amalfi Coast seafront villa with pool – Dramatically perched on a hillside overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea and the island of Capri, Villa Siderea is a beautifully restored, fully air-conditioned villa set in verdant, terraced grounds with private swimming pool and spectacular views all around. The shops and restaurants of Massa Lubrense are only a few minutes’ walk from this exclusive villa and Sorrento’s splendid gulf is just under three miles away. Uniquely designed for outdoor living, the villa’s focal point is the large living area within the lush Mediterranean garden. This encompasses bespoke garden furniture, a professional kitchen with pizza oven and covered dining terrace, ideal for large gatherings or summer barbeques. In fact, why not take up a pizza-making class on offer here; fun is guaranteed as is the spectacular view of the sunset over the sea. At the end of a busy day you can retire to your private quarters in one of the individually appointed bedroom suites.
Villa Siderea’s convenient location allows for a wide range of activities available locally, such as sightseeing, sailing across the bay towards Capri or spending a lazy beach day on the glamorous Sorrento’s peninsula. In fact you have a wide choice of shingle and pebble beaches hidden among the coves and rugged cliffs. Among them are Marina della Lobra, Baia di Marciano, Baia della Conca Azzurra and Baia di Puolo, all within a radius of three miles. For some quality shopping, good food, fantastic sea views and great atmosphere both day and night Positano, Sorrento and Amalfi are an absolute must. A day trip to Pompei or Ercolano, at the foot of Mount Vesuvio, are also strongly recommended.

INSIDER TIPS

This is an unusual property but you are sure to love it as much as I do! Divided into well-equipped suites, everybody has their own space, but with a fabulous outdoor living area you can get together and really make the most of our southern Italian outdoor lifestyle.  For the evenings when you don’t want to cook, you could try the Michelin-starred Don Alfonso 1890 restaurant less than ten minutes’ away at Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi; alternatively, family-run Lo Stuzzichino in the same village offers excellent cuisine in a relaxed setting – ask Mimmo for his excellent, award-winning ‘cremino’ dessert!

ACCOMMODATION

Summer kitchen/dining/living area under large covered terrace with professional kitchen, pizza oven, dining table, large flat screen TV. Ample, comfortable outdoor seating. Outdoor showers.
Although outdoors, this is one of the main living area for this property; it is separated from the main house on the opposite side of the garden next to the pool. It serves as a central area for the guests to gather together. It offers a spacious dining and sitting area and its kitchen is used for the morning breakfast service.

The main house is split into 5 bedroom suites across 3 levels:
Suite Arolella (ground floor/garden level, opposite summer living area and not internally connected to remaining suites):
Large living area (TV), (fridge/ tea and coffee making facilities), French doors to garden terrace, outdoor table for 6 people, gazebo with sunloungers, views.
Few steps up to double bedroom, (TV).
Twin/ double bedroom (TV).
Shower room, WC.

The remaining 4 suites are accessed externally but also connected by internal stairs:
Suite San Montano (ground floor/garden level):
Living room, (fridge/ tea and coffee making facilities), French door to terrace with loungers and outdoor dining facilities, close to large gazebo, Jacuzzi, views.

Grounds:
Large terraced grounds planted with mature trees, shrubs and lawn areas. Garden with private 6m x 4m pool (depth: 1.50m, ladder), panoramic whirlpool for up to 8 people, outdoor showers. Outdoor equipped Wellness area. Sea views. Each bedroom suite has a private terrace with outdoor seating and the summer living/dining room and kitchen provides communal living space. Ample parking for up to 7 cars.
Please note that the road to access the property is very narrow therefore the maximum width required for a car is 1.70m.  The Owners advise against taking a car to the villa. Free parking is available at a close distance to the villa. A shuttle service is available from the villa on request.

SERVICES

Included: Welcome hamper. Daily maid service 9am to 3pm except Sunday (the service does not include the cleaning of the kitchen which is available at extra cost). Mid-week change of bed linens, bath & pool towels (Wed). Air conditioning. WiFi internet. Winter heating. Pool towels. Daily pool and garden maintenance.
Shuttle service from the villa to Massa Lubrense main square from 8am to 4pm, on Sundays from 8am to 12pm.  Porter service for luggage transfer to villa on arrival  (between 4pm–8pm) and departure (between 7am-10am).

Extras to be paid locally:
Breakfast service starting at €250 per person per week (minimum 8 people). Additional maid €25 per hour. Check in later than 8pm and porter service outside the above scheduled times €100. Additional shuttle services on request after 4pm from the villa to town or restaurant nearby €20 per transfer (minivan up to 6 people). Additional bed on request at €200 per person per night (max 2 beds). Crib €30 per crib per night. Chef service from €600 per meal up to 12 people (+ cost of food). Weekly catered package €4.000 – ask for details. Shopping service from €100 per delivery. Pizza class €80 per person and pizza dinner €50 per person (minimum 8 people). Cooking class €150 per person (minimum 8 people). Local tourist tax.

Food Allowance: €1,500 to be paid locally in cash.
Professional outdoor kitchen and pizza oven can be operated only by villa personnel.
Pets NOT allowed.
Rates are up to 12 people (6 bedrooms). Suite Arorella is available at extra charge. If not used this room will be kept closed. 
Extras must be paid in cash locally.  If paid by credit card an extra 12% will be charged.
